Titleholder History:

Fanny - "Princess Royal" was given the "1st Permanent Title" of San Francisco 1967. Fanny had run as a Empress candidate and tied for Empress III with Shirley. The two decided between themselves that Shirley would be Empress and Fanny would be Princess Royal for Life. Empress Jose was not in on their decision.


Mr Cowboy, Miss & Ms. Cowgirl & Mx Cowhand History:

In 1969, The Casper Motorcycle Club owned the title of Mr. Cowboy. Emperor 1 A.N. Marcus promoted this as a fundraiser starting in 1972 with the Council of Emperors. In 2010, this title was put in reserve and re-started in 2013. In 2015 the 1st Ms. Cowgirl title was added. In 2020 the Board of Directors added the title of Mx. Cowhand.


Mr., Miss, Ms., and Mx. Golden Gate History

In 1996, Mr and Miss Tavern Guild were replaced with Mr and Miss Downtown Golden Gate and Mr & Miss Uptown Golden Gate, which were created by Emperor Steve Valone and Empress Cockatiela. In 1997, the titles were revised to Mr. Golden Gate and Miss Golden Gate. In 2015, the title of Ms. Golden Gate and in 2021 the Board of Directors added the title Mx. Golden Gate.


Mr., Miss, Ms., and Mx Gay San Francisco History

H.L. Perry (1st Grand Duchess of San Francisco) founder and owned the title of Mr. Gay San Francisco in 1972. The title was sold in 1984 to Prince to Aloha, Kimo Cochran. R & R Productions with founder Kimo produced the Mr and Miss Gay San Francisco Pageant. Honoring Emperor 12 A.N. Rich Carle and Absolute Empress 19 Remy Martin, Matthew Brown and a few others, the Tavern Guild of San Francisco purchased the titles Mr. Gay San Francisco and Miss Gay San Francisco from Kimo in 1987 and gifted to the Imperial Council. In 2021 as part of the Board of Directors mission to be more inclusive, the title of Mx. Gay San Francisco was added. This is a pageant competition.
